Traditional Goes Miniature
-This small quilt was a result of a challenge to make a traditional quilt small. -so fun!
-Tiny blocks in center are 1 1/4" finished
-Piping was added in the center and before the binding
-All flowers are turned under using freezer paper applique.
-Free motion quilting mostly McTavishing background.
-Added traditional prairie points along outside.
Cut shapes out of freezer paper. Press the shiny side to the back of the shape. Trim about 1/4" around.
Using a glue stick or stach liquid with a small paint brush around the outside fabric, turn to the freezer paper edge. Sharp tools help.
Unfortunately, I didn't take better pictures. As you can see, this leaf is not usable as it has "jagged" edges. They should be smooth.
