WHICH WAY EDNA?
I used the One Block Wonder technique except 6th 60 degree triangle is a different fabric. It's the darker blue. Can you see it?

I used Timeless treasures Butterfly magic and dark swirl fabric. The larger butterfly fabric was the 6th triangle for each hexie. This worked out so nicely by using 3 different fabrics from the same fabric line. 3 3/4" strips

What if butterflies were flying out from the center?

I couched yarn around the raw edge butterflies and covered with teal tuelle. Then covered the other butterflies with navy tuelle and attached black and white piping along the edges.

I added more butterflies flying in different directions with machine embroidery, hence the name "Which Way Edna?"

I free motioned quilted wavy lines on the 6th triangle and cathedral type curves along the other 5.

Free motion quilted different motifs in each dark blue hexagon. So fun!
